Shadow Rapture's comments
Ing Towards Nirvana, New York
really crazy! To be fair I was little lost in this hall-o-mirrors poem; it's very fast when recited in my head due to a lack of punctuated full stops and intertwining rhythms; makes me wonder if you'd run out of breath trying to recite this one!
I love this segment especially, seemed to have a primal dark quality to it:
"Burning Nick Cave in a Melbourne exhibition-
crossing Nirvana, New York
w/ all the Medusa doors locked
behind (you).
We are all
paintings of Madness,
pains of God, creatures
of our own pasts
like Paris, Pound & Plath...
laughing
in all the
unforgettable
tiny
rooms."
Sometimes I think you get caught up in your manic referencing and the way you adhere to them in your imagination combining fiction characters with factual and events and music and whatnots. Maybe for a lesser read audience you might come across as too obscure and too literal-heavyweight; which makes all the bombastic wordplay get a little lost on them; I know it happens to me and I've read quite a lot of your work now. However, that said; it's still a pleasure to see you in your pomp knowing I was a part of it and that I enjoyed the way your mind weaved and wobbed out these poetic abstractions. They are always enjoyable and 5 mins of your imagination is worth a 1000 revs to the average, you have an insight definitely not of the norm; it is always pulsating and exciting and attacking: a word warrior ye be!
I'd like to say I wholly understood it. I think I managed to grasp it at times, but that said I recognise an event at work and that's certainly the very LEAST you achieve when your poems come to light. Excellent, even if I'm not entirely sure why!
Zesty Goat and the Zealous Badger
haha...you mad-ass I love the sound of the title - definitely you!
drumcircle nudes
I am struggling to form the words - know that from the moment off I was lost in this cascade of quasi-surreal thought; you tickled me all the way up from the bottom and the sensation was all mine!!!! You little tease!
"I'd pull you into my lungs like a
two-drink-cigarette, slash of coke
across the table
in an old black and white heist flick flickering
my omni corduroy tide in aura as you
tickled my bloodstream
just like a whisper on the small hair
behind my neck."
It's not often I single out parts but if I needed some inspiration for writing; this poem has the key ingredients. The imagery is so out there, yet constantly sublime - blinding like strange prisms of light that are nothing but soothing, even though they may be overwhelming. Phew!
You must be very proud and pleased with your progress, these last 3 writes I just read including this treat have set new benchmark...of all the scintillating writes you've recently posted this one stretches out to me and takes me in, on it's tide. Absolutely fuckin' incredible....I love it, and will continue to love it and will want to read it often...agin...again...again....all again.
Fuckin riveting to the absolute max!
"My vinyl white noise
Vibrato.
Rolling right off the wagon into
A flower child tomb
I wanna swallow you like ecstasy
and sit in trance while the shadows on the walls
shudder,
something so Warhol.
Bare, exchanging vibes, salival
like zebra cluttered color oil spills
over concrete bodies,
clustered...
smiling apex fingertip trails inside
my pigeonwing bicep. I want you
that close.
Swilling through my every artery
as if you were there since birth.
Never peaking constant warm rain"
Fuck yeah!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!

blue songs
what more can be said; you see in eyes too wise for your age, your prose-like distinctions, remarkable observations, the details of lives; the nooks and crannies - what a bombshell, I love the earnest emotional rectitude of this, it was so eloquently and yet casually written; it's almost paradoxical what you can achieve, a kind of deep informal-ness if you must....great, great stuff, truly...you see so deep inside the soul, the blue ink - wonderful, lingers so long after the words have sunk in....
A little bait and switch down at Essex Babtist Church.
absolutely mind-blowingly brilliant...you have excelled yourself here; jeez, the wordplay here is freakin increduluous!!! The moral's in the details; the details are just unbelievable, this is written in a style not many could undertake and definitely in a way that most Americans of your generation sometimes seem to lack. A paragon-bomb, that just took my head clean off.....absolutely perfect! You are a deep, charismatic insightful soul. You continue to amaze!!... Col

Dark Tiger Synthesiser...Coming Soon To A Lulu Bookstore Near You!
yes I echo Aim's remark...don't be afraid to plug plug plug...bands and musical acts have widespread marketing and so why shouldn't poets - we're artists too, just flamin' under-appreciated ones!!
Good luck - the Dark Tiger has arrived! Awesome biz!
